Former The Office co-star John Krasinski is back at NBC as a producer with two comedy projects. Both hail from Universal TV, where Krasinski’s Sunday Night production banner is under an overall deal. Krasinski and Sunday Night’s Allyson Seeger executive produce both comedies, with the company’s Mike Sablone also closely involved.

shawnwinesWritten by Shawn Wines and executive produced by Aaron Kaplan, the first project is a single-camera comedy like The Office. It centers on a disgraced law student who, out of options, is forced to turn to the exotic and lucrative world of NYC garbage collection. Wines executive produces with Kapital Entertainment’s Kaplan. kapitalThis marks Kaplan and Wines’ third consecutive collaboration. Two years ago, the prolific producer spotted aspiring filmmaker Wines’ viral video short Upstairs and teamed with him for a TV series adaptation, which received a script order at Fox. The duo followed that up with another comedy project at Fox last year, ensemble Five.
